How to copy the files from Internet

The files - both the SIMULINK-model files and the scripts - are plain text-files. You may copy the files to a proper directory by clicking on the linked text and choosing the menu File + Save As. You must store the SIMULINK-model file and the simulation script on the same directory.

How to open the block-diagram and the script in MATLAB (for editing)

• To open the block-diagram: Type the name of the model file (without the file extension, mdl or m) on the MATLAB command-line.
• To open the script: In MATLAB 5: Execute "edit file-name" (without quotes) from the MATLAB command-line (the in-built editor is the opened). In MATLAB 4: Execute "!notepad filename &" (without quotes) from the MATLAB command-line (the Notepad editor is the opened)

How to run a simulation

You can run the simulation by running the script from the MATLAB command-line (typing the name of the script on the command-line terminated with pressing "Enter"). (You should not run the simulation from the menu Simulation + Start in the block-diagram window since you need to run the script to get defined all the parameters used in the blocks.)

Note that you can not use SIMULINK 2 models with MATLAB 4.
